A first collection of poems by Donal O’Farrell.

A little note from Donal (January 2024):

These poems explore the alchemical relationship between darkness and light, not so much as opposing forces or opposites but more as the Taoists would have it, as a process of interacting elements, the shifting balance of harmony-
disharmony, order and chaos.

As the wonderful poet-songwriter, Townes Van Zandt put it, “..there ain’t no dark till something shines” (Rex’s Blues).

Sonnet 29 refers to “these imaginal cells” and receiving-writing them has, for me, been a process of metamorphosis, a life-changing experience.

I hope readers will find in them a source for change and emergence.
